Welcome to Almijara Bowls Club Nerja.
We are a friendly group playing Outdoor Short Mat Bowls.
The Club has 6 Rinks on a permanent surface at the La Raqeta Tenis and Padel club on the N340, towards the East end of Nerja, opposite the Nerja Club Hotel, in the direction of Maro from Nerja town center.
The Club is open every day Dawn to Dusk to Members, and Guests/Friends accompanied by a Member/s.
Club Days are held every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday morning from 10.30am to 1.30pm – Visitors during these times will be most welcome.
The Club also run Inter Club Leagues, hold various Club Competitions, & compete in a yearly tournament against Lanzarote Bowling Club.

Could you tell me please if there is a Long Green Bowls Club in Nerja or any where near.

Hi Maureen, there is a crown green bowls rink somewhere near Velez Malaga, but for a “long Green bowls club” you would have to go West/North of Malaga, the nearest to here is Lauro Golf and Bowls Club, near Alhaurin De La Torre.
My wife and I play lawn bowls indoors and out in the UK. We are in Almunecar from 23/3 to 24/4, could we visit your club for a roll up? Thanks. Ken McCarthy
Hi Ken – yes we welcome visitors, Monday, Wednesday and Friday – if you arrive at 10:30 then we can sort you out with bowls, shoes etc, ready for the 11am start. We play two sessions, usually finishing at 1:30’ish! There is a cafe on site, at our new venue – see the “where are we” page/main page for details of how to get to us. We have a competition on Wednesday 8th April (members only), other “club” days you are very welcome.

My partner and I are thinking of renting a property for three or four months next winter. We normally play lawn bowls but I see from your posts that there are no clubs in your area. Is there some-one I can contact at your club regarding membership fees etc

Currently 5 Euros for each morning you play as a guest. Membership fees for a year commencing October are 150 Euros (as at June 2017)

Hi Anna. Apologies for the delay in replying. Technical problems!! We are open Monday Wednesday and Friday mornings. Turn up at 10.30 And we will kit you out for shoes and bowls, and give you some tuition too! Hope you’re still here 🙂
